When we are happy we are relaxed, so too are our blood vessels - relaxed and open! Sugar

High blood sugar is not good for blood vessels. As soon as our body detects blood glucose levels rising it release lots of insulin to mop it up and remove it from blood stream and store it away. This effect is not just due to added white sugar but is any food that the body converts to glucose. White bread can be as bad as sugar, though sugary drinks can be even worse. The porridge happens over hours in a way the body can manage beautifully.
